I WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

This is my Christmas present for all of you!!

COLDPLAY Christmas Lights

Listen to the song and read the lyrics, how are these words pronounced?

Christmas night  another fight
Tears we cried a flood
Got all kinds of poison in
Poison in my blood
I took my feet
To Oxford Street
Trying to right a wrong
Just walk away
Those windows say
But I can't believe she's gone
When you're still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all

Now write your own poem with the words in bold.

Nothing good ever comes of violence.

How can you contribute to stop school violence?

·  Speak to a teacher. If you think a conflict with another student may result in a fight, address the problem with a trusted adult that can help you deal with and fix the problem.
·  Be empathetic. Consider the situation from the other student's perspective. For example, if a classmate is picking on you and you know that he has a hard life at home, think about what feelings he might have that are causing him to behave in this manner. While these events don't make it OK for him to be mean to you, it makes it easier for you to understand why he is doing what he is doing.
·  Ignore instigators. Walk away from anyone who tries to engage you in a fight. ·  Do not yell. Shortly after voices are raised, punches are thrown. Yelling can turn a simple disagreement into an all-out brawl. Control your noise levels to keep the situation under control.
·  Step away from the situation. If the situation escalates, leave. This will likely defuse the problem, at least momentarily, and give you time to get help.

WORDS ALSO HURT!!
